How to Add AI Search to Your Website

🔍 Introducing the AI Website Search Feature

Your chatbot can now instantly retrieve live information directly from your website using our new AI-powered search capability. This article walks you through how it works and how to activate it.

🆕 What Makes This AI Search Different?

The feature enables your chatbot to deliver real-time answers by scanning your entire site — no more delays from outdated indexes or crawl limits. It pulls responses from any page indexed by Google, Bing, or even fetches fresh content straight from your site, ensuring your visitors always receive the most accurate and current information available.

🔎 Search Modes Explained

You can choose between two website search options:

  1. Website Search
  • How it works: In addition to other data sources such as files and pre-crawled data, the chatbot also uses search engines (e.g., Google, Bing) to answer questions with the most relevant and up-to-date public content from your website.
  • When to use: When you want fast responses and broader coverage.
  • Cost: Each request will cost 5 additional message credits.
  1. Live Website Search
  • How it works: The chatbot visits your website in real time to retrieve the most current data for each query. This tool works alongside the website search feature.
  • When to use: When you need the latest updates from your website, even if they aren’t yet indexed by search engines.
  • Response time: Each reply may take 5–10 seconds longer (due to live data retrieval).
  • Cost: Each request uses 10 additional message credits.

⚡ Example Use Case

Our AI website search feature is designed to help a wide variety of websites deliver a superior search experience to their users. Here are a few practical examples of how it can benefit different types of online businesses and platforms:

🛒 E-commerce Websites with Large Catalogs. If you operate an online store with thousands — or even tens of thousands — of products, traditional crawlers may only be able to index a fraction of your catalog due to page limits. With AI Search, your chatbot can access all product pages that are indexed by leading search engines, ensuring that customers can always find the exact item they're looking for.

Live Website Search is especially helpful during peak seasons or product launches, as it can pull the latest information about prices, inventory, or new arrivals in real time.

📚 Content Websites with Extensive Archives. For news portals, documentation sites, or blogs with thousands of articles, guides, or published documents, Website Search allows users to get answers from any historical page — no matter how deep it is in your archive.

No longer limited by default index sizes, an AI-powered chatbot can instantly surface the most relevant document, news story, or how-to guide — even from years ago.

🕒 Websites with Frequently Updated Information. If you run a website where information is updated frequently — like event listings, sports scores, job postings, financial data, or project statuses — Live Website Search ensures users always receive the most up-to-date answers. Since it fetches data directly from your site in real time, there’s no need to wait for search engines to re-crawl and re-index your latest updates. Your users will see changes reflected immediately in chatbot responses.

🦾 In Summary

No matter the size or nature of your website, AI Search and Live Website Search help your visitors discover the information they need — instantly and accurately — even as your site grows and evolves.
